JOB
SUMMARY: To
provide an effective counselling service toFirst Stop clients based on a self-referral basis.
MAIN
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
To
deliver an effective counselling service tailored to the needs of the
individual client.
To
ensure that the First Stop Data Protection and Confidentiality
policies are upheld at all
times, in addition to the First Stop Contract for Counselling
Placement, and Counselling Code of Practice.
To
have full understanding of, and uphold, the British Association of
Counselling & Psychotherapy Ethical Framework.
To
ensure client notes are accurate, current and in line with the Data
Protection Act 1998.
To
ensure regular supervision appointments are booked and attended, in
line with BACP guidelines (currently 1 hour for every 6 counselling
hours).
To
ensure a commitment to continued professional development.
Recognition
of appropriate client referral to specialist agencies when
appropriate.
To
participate in the promotion and development of services offered by
First Stop Darlington.
To
undertake any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the
Project Management Team.
